What data starts a commercial rooftop solar proposal?
A useful first proposal needs more than a roof area. The buyer should collect electricity bills and, where possible, interval demand data; roof drawings; structural information; equipment locations; and the grid connection details.
Separate three checks
- Energy: compare solar production timing with operating hours and self-consumption goals.
- Structure: confirm roof condition, load capacity, wind exposure, access and waterproofing with qualified local designers.
- Electrical: document the connection point, available capacity, protection, metering and utility rules.
